The animals are also known as “Walderpferde” (Woods Horse) because they used to help with heavy forestry work. These days the lively Black Forest cold bloods are mainly popular as recreational horses and are used for riding or to pull carriages and sleighs.

Schleich – Black Forest Foal

Description

The Black Forest Foal from the Schleich Farm World has a dark, chestnut-coloured coat and an enchanting blaze. Its mane and tail are still short, but the flaxen hair will later be as luxuriant and long as is typical for the horse breed. Black Forest cold bloods are a very rare horse breed that originate from the Black Forest in southern Germany.Fun Fact: Black Forest cold blood horses only grow to around 1.60 m tall.
