Torosaurus was a large ceratopsian dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period. What makes Torosaurus stand out are its enormous, elongated frill and two large horns above its eyes. The frill had large holes or fenestrae, which differentiated it from the famous Triceratops, even though they were closely related. This frilled feature may have been used for display, communication, or even temperature regulation.
