This extra-strong large horseshoe magnet is designed to be the first magnet for younger children. This U-shaped magnet was conceived as a better alternative to the bar-shaped magnet. In a bar magnet, the electric field flows in opposite direction for both poles which makes it weaker. In contrast, a U-shaped magnet is designed to make the current flow in the same direction for both the poles. By doing this, a strong magnetic field, twice that of a bar-shaped magnet, is produced around both the poles. This strong electric field can then be utilized for many other applications & science experiments.
